Vaccine to boost the economy

Vaccine to boost the economy

Experts have stated that the accelerated rollout of the Coronavirus vaccine will provide the economy and budget with a much-needed boost.

The treasurer was against extending the wage subsidies that applied through the peak of the pandemic. The Sydney area is also suffering once again from restrictions, just when Victoria was recovering well.

It was due to these factors perhaps, that the government has decided to move up the rollout of the vaccine from late March to mid-February. The aim is to have 4 million vaccine doses distributed from mid-February to the end of March.

The treasurer has stated that the government will continue to monitor the expected economic recovery. There could be more programs or changes to come depending on how the economy continues to perform.
