Are you at the top of your social media game?

The way social media can be used as a marketing tool for your business is constantly evolving.

To remain at the top of the game and ahead of your competition, you need to be aware of how to use social media to your advantage. Consider the following:

Interact

One of the great benefits of using social media for your business is the opportunity it provides you to communicate instantly with other browsers. If someone asks for help or guidance, you can follow this up in real time, in a friendly and relaxed yet still professional manner. You should aim to reply to messages, comments etc. as quickly as possible, while still ensuring that you are providing a quality interaction. Use the opportunities provided through the ability to communicate directly to better your business, by asking what customers want and how the business can be improved.

Routine

It is important to post regularly so that viewers can get to know your brand and what you’re all about. By having a schedule, managing your social media channels also becomes easier and analysing specific posts that are more effective than others becomes easier.

Different content for different platforms

One big mistake businesses make is posting duplicate content across all of their social media platforms. Chances are, if an individual likes your business and follows you on one platform such as Facebook, they will be following you on platforms such as Instagram and Twitter as well. You need to offer something different on each platform and something of value, otherwise people have no reason to follow you on more than one platform.
